openSuse 10
I've just purchased a new Dell Inspiron 9300. With the new laptop I thought I'd give a new distribution a try. I've been using Red Hat and it's derivatives for sometime now and thought it was time for a change. I thought I'd also give KDE a try. I'm pretty familiar with Gnome but not so much with KDE.
openSuse rocks! It works. It detected all my hardware, allowed me to easily download the IPW2200 firmware, and was easily configured for the media I make use of.
My only complaint so far is that kinternet does not remember WEP keys. I've heard that kwifimanager does, but my limited experience with that application has not been pleasant. Kinternet may not remember the WEP keys but it is stable and doesn't crash. I may work on loading NetworkManager and NetworkManagerInfo.
Two thumgs up so far though.
